2. The Look
The aesthetic Abrams cultivated on his first outing with the Enterprise was one of the strongest elements of his first film. The sleek design and hyper-kinetic colors helped create a vision of Star Trek that was distinctly familiar yet wholly original. That hasn't been lost at all, from the looks of things. Lush landscapes, vivid backdrops and a streamlined coolness are all present and accounted for in this trailer. I was afraid the look of the film might grow tired after a while, but this trailer assuaged any fears of that. If it looks anywhere near as good as the first movie, it'll be another contender for the best looking movie of the year. So, what's the number one reason you should be itching to transport to next summer so you can see this? You should know the answer. Three words...
