Star Wars: 10 Awesome And Nerdy Fan Creations

5. Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager

I told myself I wouldn't include any fan films on this list, as I wanted to focus on the tangible. Well, who am I kidding. There are just so many good fan productions out there that it didn't seem right to not include at least one. And Chad Vader had to be here. The award winning creation of Aaron Yonda and Matt Sloan, Chad Vader follows the day shift manager of the same name, Darth Vader's younger and less successful brother, as he runs a branch of Empire Market and butts heads with employees and customers alike. Over five seasons we've watched Chad move to the night shift, become general manager, and embrace his dark side, only to move back to day shift manager. Through deaths, inspections, force chokes, romances, and even a buyout by Red Leader Foods, the inside jokes and sight gags are just what you'd expect them to be. Nothing short of hilarious. The series has won multiple awards, including the George Lucas Selects award in 2007, hand picked by Lucas himself as the best fan film of the year! You can watch the whole series here. But only if you like to laugh.

A writer in spirit, a baker by profession. Carl has been a comic shop impresario, comic book illustrator, record store clerk, electronic musician, late night radio DJ, club promoter, graphic designer, and other cool things you wish you could be. He mistakenly had purple dreadlocks once. For three years. Which made him way less cool. He doesn't actually know what the word impresario means, and is way too lazy to Google it. Carl is also an American, and for that he apologizes.
