Star Wars: 10 Best Female Characters (Of The Canon Series)

3. Ahsoka Tano

Star Wars Female
Lucasfilm

When it was announced that the Clone Wars TV series would introduce a young, plucky apprentice for Anakin Skywalker, some fans were a bit skeptical. However, Ahsoka Tano quickly made a name for herself as the show's MVP. She was a fantastic, charming character with the ability to elevate everyone she interacted with.

The later appearance of an older Ahsoka in Rebels is great as well. We see her as a much more mature warrior who has honed her skills to rival the very best, including Darth Vader, all while being yet another crucial figure in the early days of the rebellion.

Also, in the canon Ahsoka novel, we get an inside look as to just how she bridged that gap. We see the disillusionment and growth that caused her renounce the title of Jedi, while still acting as a force of good for the galaxy, deciding that her own actions are what define her as a righteous warrior. At one point, she even essentially becomes that galaxy's very own version of Wonder Woman, traveling from planet to planet to save or assist anyone who may need her help.

She proved that one could leave the Jedi, yet still fight for good, which is a nice contrast to her former master.
