Star Wars: 10 Classic Characters Who Need Their Own Movie

1. Darth Plagueis

Darth Plag

Plagueis, like Sifo-Dyas, is only mentioned in the saga once; but the speech in which Anakin is told about this grand master of the Sith is truly enticing. A memorable book was written recently telling the complete story of Plagueis, but since this would be regarded as the expanded universe, it is questionable whether a film based on the character would follow this. Nonetheless, the case in this circumstance is somewhat different, and I could see, if a Plagueis film were to be made, that it would be a direct adaptation of the book. In either instance, Plagueis needs his own movie, based simply on what was said by Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith. Dark, complex and embroiled with tragedy and backstabbing (literally), the spin-off would follow not only the actions of Plagueis, but also his young apprentice, Palpatine, also known as Darth Sidious. For this reason, the movie would have great relevance to the Prequel Trilogy and would tie together the entire saga, showing how Sidious came to be and the events of the fall and rise of Vader were orchestrated long before The Phantom Menace. I believe all 10 of these characters need their own movie, although it is unlikely that any more than one or two actually shall, even in the distant future. The fact that there are so many characters who could have their own spin-offs films is a testament to the brilliance of Star Wars, no matter what many say about the prequel trilogy. Which other franchise could? Like this article? Which characters would you like to see in their own spin-offs? Let us know in the comments section below.
