Lukes wife, Mara Jade Skywalker, features in a lot of novels and graphic novels. She was introduced in Timothy Zahns first books as a former imperial force-trained assassin, and she is exactly as badass as that phrase suggests. After featuring in dozens of books and becoming the mother of Ben Skywalker, Mara Jade was killed in a truly epic battle with the latest rising Dark Lord of the Sith. The new Sith Lord was a character well known for years, and his murder of Mara Jade was the moment he truly fell beyond return to the Dark Side. And it was a big. Damn. Battle. It was very cool, and a fitting exit for Mara Jade.
