Star Wars: 10 Expanded Universe Characters We Hope To Never See Again

7. Mission Vao €“ Knights Of The Old Republic

Star Wars Mission Vao Apart from Han Solo€™s children who were pretty badass in their teenage years, including a teenage character in Star Wars almost never works. Case in point: Mission Vao, who is a valid argument for repeatedly carpet-bombing the Twi€™lek homeworld of Ryloth just to make sure none of her genes survive. Only appearing in the RPG Knights Of The Old Republic, Mission is a fourteen year old street urchin who survives the underworld of the planet Taris by operating as a pickpocket and amateur con-woman. A bit like a blue Artful Dodger except more annoying and with a Wookiee as a bodyguard to scare any attackers off. As well her being whiney and thinking that everyone underestimates her (just like most teenagers), and having a really dull backstory and character plot (orphaned and then abandoned by her deadbeat brother), there€™s one glaring problem about her: within in the game mechanic of Knight Of The Old Republic, she€™s useless. Her character class is the Scoundrel, a class which has the worst stamina in the game and gains an incredibly low number of combat feats but makes up for it with high Intelligence and Dexterity and a large number of skills. She€™s good at computer hacking and can pull off an accurate sniper shot but her low vitality means that she€™s almost definitely going to be the first one of your party to faint in any given combat situation. And if you try to compensate for that by giving her heavy armour, her Dexterity and base defence both get lowered. Also, Utility Droid T3-M4 can more or less do everything Mission can but has much higher defence and vitality. You can also equip him with flamethrowers and radiation emitters. As well as being annoying, Mission suffers from poor character design. So let us please never see her again unless it€™s to have her killed. In fact, if you choose the Dark Side ending to Knights Of The Old Republic, you can just do that. In pretty much any way that takes your fancy. The fact that you have to kill Wookiee party member Zaalbar at the same time is a small price to pay.
