Star Wars: 10 Most Powerful Dark Side Force Users

Sheev Palpatine was utterly evil. Devoid of compassion, or any conflict between Light and Dark, he was totally devoted to the Dark Side and the heightening of his own power.

Simply put, Palpatine was "All the Sith."

At the height of his power, Palpatine had amassed an Empire spanning the galaxy, had orchestrated the demise of the Jedi Order, and was in control of Darth Vader.

For 19 years, Palpatine's power went unchallenged, until Luke Skywalker destroyed the Death Star, and Palpatine worried Luke would become powerful enough to bring him down. Palpatine defeated Jedi Grandmaster Yoda, Jedi Masters Mace Windu, Kit Fisto, Agen Kolar, and Saesee Tiin.

Not only this, but Palpatine was proficient in all 7 forms of lightsaber combat, could easily duel wield his sabers, and defeated Darth Maul and Savage Oppress simultaneously. He also had control of the Galactic Senate, whilst clouding the vision of the entire Jedi Order.

It was only through the combined efforts of Luke and Anakin Skywalker that he was defeated - and even then, his power lived on and he was reborn; plaguing Kylo Ren and Rey all the way through the Sequel Trilogy.
