Star Wars: 10 Most Powerful Female Characters
8. Leia
A somewhat divisive positioning for the franchise's beloved Princess and one that would be much higher if it hadn't been for the late Carrie Fisher's tragic passing prior to the sequel trilogy concluding - Leia Organa Solo was without question a very powerful woman in the Star Wars universe but just how powerful can never truly be known.
Within the non-canon Legends, various authors handled Leia's Force mastery in different ways meaning we never truly had an understanding of whether she had pursued the knowledge her brother held dear - we know for certain she constructed a lightsaber and could communicate with Force Ghosts as exemplified by her conversation with her redeemed father but not a lot else is really known.
Within canon, Leia displayed some mastery of the Force as she 'Mary Poppins'd her way back onto her ship from the cold vacuum of space and a short training montage with Rey was shown but the biggest giveaway that Leia developed her Force abilities comes in the shape of her lightsaber - which became an essential plot point in the Rise of Skywalker.
The Force aside, Leia's true power lies in her unbreakable will, her military genius and her tough talking attitude that put even Han Solo firmly in his place - don't mess with this Princess.
