Star Wars: 10 Most Powerful Female Characters
6. Rey
The opinion of many is that the sequel trilogy did Daisy Ridley's Rey something of a disservice. Introduced as a nobody from the Outer Rim, Rey was set to become the true hero of the franchise as she sought out Luke Skywalker in the hopes of restoring the Jedi Order and bringing down the First Order.
Then Rian Johnson decided to make everything truly bizarre and Rey's story arc meandered throughout The Last Jedi. Granted, Luke's reluctance to train Rey doesn't help her character development but J.J. Abrams came to her rescue as the sage concluded.
Whilst it wasn't a conventional happy ending, Rey displays formidable Force mastery in The Rise of Skywalker and battles her own personal demons throughout after Palpatine is revealed to be her grandfather but Rey's power comes as she does what no-one else had been able to for numerous movies and put Darth Sidious down for good.
Say what you like about the whole 'Rey Skywalker' debate, that doesn't factor in the power debate and Rey is up there with some of the greatest Jedi for her acts in saving the galaxy.
