The keepers of peace and order throughout the galaxy for thousands of years, the Jedi fought on behalf of the Republic in many conflicts, including the Jedi-Sith War and the Clone Wars.

The Order had thousands of members throughout the millennia, some capable of devastating Force attacks, some willing to showcase brutal lightsaber skills, and some who did both.

There were many different paths that a Jedi could take; Guardian, Consular, Scholar - all of whom were responsible for the upholding of peace through the universe.

Many notable Jedi have featured on our screens, in our favourite books, and video games, and there are certainly a lot of fan favourites within the Order. From Master Yoda, the oldest Jedi, to Rey Skywalker, the newest member of the Order, they all hold the same ideology and purity of heart that a model Jedi should have.

Many have faced down with Sith Lords, and more recently they have been plagued by Darth Sidious, but here are the most powerful Jedi in the Star Wars universe.

10. Ahsoka Tano

Exposed to the Clone Wars at an early age, and apprenticed to a master who did not want initially want her, Ahsoka Tano proved that she had what it takes to become a powerful Jedi in a short amount of time. Through learning under Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka soon became an asset to the Republic's war efforts.

Later using two lightsabers, Ahsoka was an acrobatic opponent, and was an exceptional duellist, going head-to-head with the likes of Asajj Ventress, and even being powerful enough to damage Darth Vader in battle. Ahsoka survived the Jedi Purge, and lived on to instruct Ezra Bridger, and face off against the revived Sith Lord, Maul.

She was one of few Jedi to come up against Darth Vader and live to tell the tale.

An adept pilot, and formidable warrior, Ahsoka's Jedi training opened her up to various experiences, and she saw the failings of the Order in the run up to leaving the Jedi behind and earning her white lightsaber blades.
