Star Wars: 10 Most Powerful Sith Lords
6. Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader - The Jedi Purger
Unlike all the other contenders of this list, we have quantifiable proof of Darth Vader’s power thanks to the widely beloved piece of Star Wars ephemera that is midi-chlorians. With an off-the-chart count of 27,000, he’s got more of the microscopic Force-givers than any other character. And you probably just fell asleep.
The point is, Anakin Skywalker was a damn powerful Force user, unsurprising given that he was immaculately conceived by the mystical energy field. However, when it comes to his Sith persona, he’s not as domineering. Yes, he did prove essential in bringing down the Jedi and creating the Empire, striking fear into galaxy, but he had several key flaws.
He was of course weakened, at least in physical terms, by his injuries from Obi-Wan and Mustafar’s lava, losing his kinetic fighting style and unable to wield Dark Side powers such as Force lightening, although it’s his weakness to the Light that puts him lower than you may expect.
Unlike the other Sith here, Vader was undone by his compassion for his hidden son, in the end turning back to the light and destroying the order in the process. Powerful, sure, but that kinda knocks him down on the evil rankings, doesn’t it?
