In my opinion, the ultimate genius of George Lucas is appealing to children and adults at the same time. When I ask myself why a married guy, with a child, in his mid-thirties loves Star Wars, I instantly know the answer; it gives me a sense of nostalgia that is hard to capture elsewhere, and that is something I want to share with my son. Since he was born, Ive spent thousands of dollars (to my wifes displeasure) on Star Wars toys and collectables that will be shared with and ultimately passed onto him.
