Star Wars: 10 Reasons Yoda Shouldn't Get His Own Spin-Off

2. Disney Will Merchandise Him To Death

yoda plush Yoda is undoubtedly cute. As I€™ve already said, that€™s part of his power €“ he€™s deceptively powerful for a cute little Muppet type. As a result, we€™ve already seen our fair share of plush Yoda merchandising, Yoda duvet, Yoda toothbrush, Yoda talking cheeseboard (€œMmm. Tasty this Brie is€). But under Disney you can expect enough cuddly toys to fill the Death Star, both of them, even the unconstructed bits of the second one. We all know that Disney have bought Star Wars to make money out of it, and a spin-off Yoda film will only turn him from a mysterious Jedi master to the dark side of talking teddy bears quicker than you can say "Pull my cord, you will, and say things amusingly, will I."

I'm a Westcountry exile now living in Yorkshire with lovely wife and cats (also lovely). I'm a big fan of films, robots, timetravel, and films about timetravelling robots, as well as lots of other action, sci-fi and comedy. I'm currently trying to write a sitcom that doesn't involve robots, and I also blog nonsense on timolsky.blogspot.com. Thanks for taking the time to read my stuff, and feel free to comment.
