It's fair to say that the Falcon has seen better days by the time the sequel trilogy rolls around, and given that the ship has passed through numerous hands over the decades, one has to wonder - exactly how old is the Falcon?

Thankfully we have a canonical answer by way of a 2016 "Incredibuilds" book about the vessel, which states that at the time of The Force Awakens, the Falcon has been soaring through space for more than 90 years, meaning that it was already over 50 years old at the time of A New Hope.

When you consider that the average commercial aircraft is retired after about 30 years, that's pretty damn impressive.
