Star Wars: 10 Spin-Off Movies That Need To Be Made
8. Darth Bane And The Rule Of Two
Everyone secretly likes a little darkness, don't they? And so, George Lucas gave the Star Wars world, The Sith. Darth Sidious, Darth Maul, Darth Tyrannus, and, of course, Darth Vader. The antithesis of the venerable Jedi Order, the Sith were the main antagonists of the Star Wars universe and the primary enemy of the Jedi. Created by Darth Bane after the destruction of the Sith Brotherhood of Darkness, the kratocratic organization lasted over a thousand years concluding with the demise of Emperor Palpatine. It was Bane who instituted the 'Rule of Two' and who adopted cunning, subterfuge, and stealth as fundamental tenets of the Sith. The order lay "dormant" for a very long time, to the point that the Jedi believed them extinct. So why did it take until Palpatine's time to reveal themselves? Was he the strongest of the Sith? These are questions that need answering. Best of all it would be tremendous to see the establishment of the Sith, when Bane rose from the ashes of his broken brotherhood, adopted an apprentice and began the reign of tyranny that would ultimately transform a galaxy. Was Bane, like Palpatine, someone respected by day and a Sith by night? Who were the subsequent Sith who carried on the torch along the generations? It would be absolutely amazing to watch these Dark Lords as they worked in the shadows, undermining and sabotaging the Jedi.
A self professed Stephen King/Star Wars geek and pop culture neophyte, Scott tends to spend much of his time alone pondering life's greatest mysteries.....he also depends heavily on his son Liam, a great sounding board, to set him straight on Star Wars issues and gives him advice on what EXACTLY he's doing wrong.
