Star Wars: 10 Spin-Off Movies That Need To Be Made
7. Obi-Wan Kenobi's Exile
Old Ben Kenobi, the crazy old hermit whom Artoo-Deetoo desperately needed to locate, certainly turned out to be more than he first appeared to be. Ben was old. Ben was possibly dangerous. But Ben was a... Jedi Knight? OK, so here's the thing - he was an extremely powerful Jedi who managed to escape the purge, rescue and successfully hide Luke (never thought to change the last name though), and lived in anonymity on Tatooine - just because he started going by Ben? In some ways, the Emperor and Vader were very, very bad at the whole intelligence game. Having said that though, just what the hell did he do between dropping Luke off and riding back into the desert landscape? Gardening? Day trips to Mos Eisley? Concession worker at the Boonta Eve classic? It's hard to believe that at no point did Obi-Wan encounter the Empire. He must have gone off planet during his isolation. Was he in contact with Yoda? How closely was he in contact with the Lars family? Obviously Obi-wan played a massive role in the Star Wars universe, but just how he managed to remain hidden and what he did in those intervening 20 years is extremely intriguing and definitely worthy of a stand alone film.
A self professed Stephen King/Star Wars geek and pop culture neophyte, Scott tends to spend much of his time alone pondering life's greatest mysteries.....he also depends heavily on his son Liam, a great sounding board, to set him straight on Star Wars issues and gives him advice on what EXACTLY he's doing wrong.
