Star Wars: 10 Strange Laws ALL Empire Employees Follow
8. Playing The Galactic Republic's Anthem Is Strictly Prohibited

If you're a member of the Empire, an easy way to get on Emperor Palpatine's bad side is to play, sing, or hum "All Stars Burn as One," the official anthem of the Empire's direct predecessor, the Galactic Republic.
In the 2010 video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II - now considered part of the Legends continuity - Imperial Edict 2.33b is said to expressly prohibit any public play of the anthem, which was traditionally used for diplomatic and military meetings.
The ruling applies to both Empire employees and general citizens, and a databank entry in the game reveals that a seven-year-old Leia was herself expelled from the Crevasse City Collegium for Young Ladies for tampering with the school's P.A. system and forcing it to play the Republic anthem.
