Star Wars: 10 Things You Didn't Know About The Supremacy
2. Kylo Ren Ordered The Remains Of The Supremacy To Be Scuttled
The Supremacy was hugely damaged when Resistance leader Admiral Holdo sacrificed her own life by driving a Star Cruiser through hyperspace, in a path that took it directly through the center of the First Order’s flagship. But despite being split in two during the daring attack, the Supremacy wasn’t completely destroyed.
In fact, it wasn’t until after the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and when Kylo Ren had claimed the title of Supreme Leader, that he ordered that the remains of the Supremacy be scuttled. The complete destruction of the Supremacy’s remains would mean that members of the Resistance would not be able to search what was left of the ship in the hope of finding anything that could aid them in the fight against the First Order.
By the time events pick up again at the beginning of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Kylo is once again onboard his own Star Destroyer, the Finalizer. It is while onboard the Finalizer that Supreme Leader Kylo Ren reveals to Rey that she is the granddaughter of Palpatine.
