Star Wars: 10 Things You Never Knew About Qui-Gon Jinn
2. He Had A Hard Time Training Obi-Wan
Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon had a very close friendship. Qui-Gon saved the young padawan from becoming a member of the Jedi Agricultural Core. The Jedi Temple had deemed Obi-Wan too weak in the Force to become a Jedi Knight.

Obi-Wan didn’t inherit his master’s rogue spirit, though. Like Mace Windu, Obi-Wan was dedicated to the Jedi Code. He often disagreed with his master’s decisions. Especially when those decisions went against the wishes of the Jedi Council.
