2. He Had A Hard Time Training Obi-Wan

Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon had a very close friendship. Qui-Gon saved the young padawan from becoming a member of the Jedi Agricultural Core. The Jedi Temple had deemed Obi-Wan too weak in the Force to become a Jedi Knight.

But, ever the maverick, Qui-Gon saw potential in Obi-Wan. Not surprising, Qui-Gon was right. Obi-Wan became a very powerful Jedi Master and member of the Council.

Obi-Wan didn’t inherit his master’s rogue spirit, though. Like Mace Windu, Obi-Wan was dedicated to the Jedi Code. He often disagreed with his master’s decisions. Especially when those decisions went against the wishes of the Jedi Council.
