6. International Releases
Disney have an iffy approach to releasing their DVDs and Blu-rays, and the same goes for theatrical releases too. Countries can have vastly different release dates, they can have different extra features on discs depending on the territories and more to the point, each Blu-ray release is a lucky dip when it comes to region coding. Disney needs to approach Star Wars with a universal understanding that the fans are everywhere and they want access to all of the goodness and not have to wait long after the US release dates to get their opportunity. Generally for big Blu-ray/DVD releases this isnt an issue, but even recently The Avengers Blu-ray was wildly different from country to country. Cuts, reduced extras, commentary tracks and cover art that was all over the place. This just cant happen with something as big as Star Wars (and shouldn't have happened with The Avengers either really). At the end of the day its the films that we want and if theres a mixed bag of material on the discs depending on where we might live in the world, its nothing but annoying.
