12. Nien Nunb Will Be Back For Episode VIII...

Nien Nunb, Lando Calrissian's old smuggling mate who first popped up in Return of the Jedi, was another of the old guard to return in The Force Awakens. Although his role amounted to little more than a cameo, flying an X-Wing as part of Poe Dameron's Black Squadron, it was still nice to see him back in action. And now it looks as though he'll be back for more in Episode VIII. Chatting to the First Order Transmissions podcast, Mike Quinn (who plays him) stated his desire to return: "Kathleen said everybody is coming back (for Episode VIII) and people seem to like the Nunbster kicking around here and there. I would like him to do more, so I would say most likely he should be around, right?" Rating: 10/10 I mean, yeah, sure, why not? Nien Nunb isn't exactly a major character in Star Wars, but he is someone with a cult following who the fans will recognise, so it makes sense to keep him around. The actor seems fairly certain that he'll be coming back for more, and given that this is Star Wars and there will likely be more battles for X-Wings to fly into, having an experienced head around can't hurt. There's a much older (which is why it's not on this list) rumour for Episode VIII that posits Lando Calrissian will also be back. If that does prove to be the case, then having Nien Nunb there to partner him up with makes Quinn's return seems even more likely.
