5. The Ewok's Song & Dance Routine
Mixed feelings about Ewoks aside (when's Lucas releasing the cut where the Empire wins the battle of Endor?) the ending of Return of the Jedi is just a wee bit too happy for its own good. All the odd singing and dancing with big teddy bears just feels kind of out of place with the rest of the trilogy especially the dark tones of the Empire film and the Emperor in the third. It feels almost contrived and made too much with the mindset that these were movies made for kids. Seriously if it wasn't for the happy reunions between the main characters and Luke burning the armor of Vader this ending would have just been unbearable. Perhaps Disney knows what they got their hands on after all. One -and they and their furry friends lived happily ever after- ending for Episode 7 coming right up.
