Star Wars: 8 Actors Who Could Play Young Han Solo

2. Chris Pine

One need only take a look at Chris Pine in his career-making Star Trek performance to see just how well he could play Han Solo; the guy is absolutely dripping with charisma, and is extremely skilled at playing a character who is at the same time likeable and also a bit of an ass, two attributes that perfectly epitomise Han Solo. Though it might bug people that we'd have the same guy portraying an immensely iconic character from both Star Trek and Star Wars, you might as well get used to the idea, given J.J. Abrams' announced involvement with the new Star Wars movies. The one thing working against him is his age; he's already 32, and Harrison Ford was 35 when he played Han Solo. By the time this film materialised, he'd almost definitely be the same age or older, and so this would only really work if the film is set just prior to A New Hope, which is fairly unlikely.
