Star Wars: 5 Reasons Why Joe Johnston Should Direct Boba Fett Movie

3. Darken and Mature the Brand

joejohnston One of Johnston€™s more recent directorial works, The Wolfman, was a noted diversion for the family friendly filmmaker. By taking on a horror film, Joe Johnston has shown he can handle darker subject matter. While I€™m not suggesting Star Wars venture into R-territory (it never will by the way), a film along the lines of The Empire Strikes Back would be well suited for a Boba Fett movie. By that, I refer to its more mature style and tone when compared to some of the other films. The fact of the matter is that Boba Fett is a bounty hunter with a checkered past €“ it can€™t be all silly and fluffy with Jar-Jar Binks and Ewok type of characters. Johnston has exemplified his ability to make a product that can be a little edgy without stepping over the line.
