Star Wars 7 Cast: Predicting The Characters

1. Max Von Sydow - Advisor To Leia / Evil Mastermind

Like the Jedi, the new film can revisit a republic at peace without making it all about trade policies and government sanctions. Chancellor Leia's ruling government can be an intriguing mix of politics and varying races, all vying for power; kind of Like Game Of Thones with less nudity and decapitated horses - a lot of galactic bickering that masks the real threat coming for them. You need someone with presence to work with Leia and you don't get someone like Max Von Sydow and give him a minor role. With his gravitas, he will cut an imposing figure in the film. A stout ally of Leia's he has spent thirty years building his power base and now he has more sway than anyone else in the New Republic, But what if history is repeating itself? What if there is an enemy much closer to home? What if Adam Driver's Jedi turned Sith has a powerful ally within the highest reaches of the government? Enter Max Von Sydow's character; he's not a Sith master - that's too Palpatine for our liking - but he has all the wealth and resources to finance a galactic take over not seen since the days of the emperor itself. So what are your thoughts? What do you think the overall plot of Star Wars Episode VII and the trilogy as a whole will be? The enemy at the heart of the new republic? A new Sith powerbase to rival Luke's new Jedi academy? Han Solo and Luke Skywalker reunited to become the heroes of old, only for our favourite smuggler-turned general to meet his maker and their children to take up the mantle? These are some of our predictions. What are yours?
