Star Wars: 7 Perfect Performances & 7 That Sucked
2. Adam Driver As Kylo Ren (Perfect!)

Just to give a sense of the calibre of actor that he is, Adam Driver recently got his second Oscar nomination of his career for his performance in Marriage Story. Coming originally from a comedic background having previously appeared in the sitcom Girls, many raised their eyebrows at Driver being cast as the new major villain in the Disney trilogy. However, he quickly made a name for himself in The Force Awakens playing the son of Han Solo, grandson of Darth Vader, with his performance as Kylo Ren (Ben Solo to his family).
Complex, emotional, and chilling - that is Adam Driver's Kylo Ren. He gave a performance throughout the sequel trilogy that was absolutely gripping from start to finish. He was easily the most interesting character to watch on screen and often stole the show from costar and protagonist, Daisy Ridley's Rey (Skywalker). He shared some of the best scenes of the entire trilogy with both series legends, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill - not an easy task.
Driver managed to deliver not only one of the greatest villains, but one of the greatest characters in all of Star Wars. He gave us the performance we all wanted from Anakin Skywalker in the prequels, showing a conflicted, vulnerable character. He will now no doubt go on to add to his already stunning filmography and win many awards in the process.
