7. Mace Windu
Like Yoda, Mace Windu is in an interesting position straight away from the start of Episode I and I would be intrigued to see how his circumstances came about. Regarded as one of the best, if not the best swordsman in the Jedi order, second in command on the council, Windu must have surely seen some fairly important action prior to the beginning of Episode I that an origin story could certainly focus on. Just like Yoda, I'd be interested to see how his second in command status came about and how he was inducted into the Jedi order, since he's in such a high profile position by the start of the saga. There's also got to be a story behind Windu's purple lightsaber surely. Admittedly in the video games lightsabers come in all colours and styles, but as far as the films go it's fairly unique. Perhaps it was a trophy from a previous battle? Possibly I've chosen the most trivial thing possible to focus on but it could certainly feature in Windu's origins and I can't be the only one who's curious.
