5. Maz Kanata

Maz Kanata's appearance in The Force Awakens was pretty weird. Not because of the way she actually looks (although, well), or the interactions about eyes (again...), but more in the fact that she completely disappeared once the Resistance left Takodana, and her role in the movie had quite clearly been cut down (and pretty late in the day at that). Although there had been a plan in place for her to go along in the Falcon, the writers realised that she didn't really have a natural place there, so just kind of left her out of the rest of the movie.

She will be back for at least Episode VIII though, so hopefully that means we'll find out exactly how she got her hands on Luke's old lightsaber.

Clearly, though, Maz isn't someone they need to have an awful lot of, and they've already decided that she stands largely separate from the main group. Indeed, her main connection to them was Han, and he's, well, you know.

She might have some key information that will help, particularly in the case of Rey and Luke, and I could see the pair of them meeting up with her, but given she's 1000-years-old and not a main player, she probably doesn't have too much longer left.
