The Theory

A theory doing the rounds on BuzzFeed (via Movie Pilot) dared ask the question of whether Snork could be the son of the original Star Wars big bad, Emperor Palpatine.

Its architect speculates that Darth Sidious originally attempted to recruit his offspring as his Sith apprentice, but was forced to turn to other candidates when Snoke proved unable to fully wield the power of the Dark Side.

Following his father's death, Snoke recruited his own apprentice in Kylo Ren and sought to follow in Palpatine's footsteps by ruling the galaxy.

How Credible Is It?

Total BS. Not only is there zero evidence of Palpatine ever fathering son in Star Wars movie canon, there's nothing of any substance linking the Emperor to Snoke.

This is one theory we can probably toss straight in the Death Star's garbage compactor.
