5. Ditching The Knights Of Ren

Even if you can argue that the Knights of Ren were some additional thing to be hinted at and nothing more... well, how could you, when they were conceptualised, talked about and even included in The Force Awakens?

At many points along production, the Knights of Ren were clearly part of Kylo's past, and potentially his present and future, yet The Force Awakens left it open as to how another creative team would take them forward.

Last seen backing Kylo up in the Force vision when Rey witnesses his rebellion, The Last Jedi doesn't even address them, other than Luke saying that some other students of his "ran away" after Kylo's uprising. Still, all we needed was Snoke saying the Knights had become his own private guard - literally one line of dialogue could've connected the two, and that badass team-up fight would've had even more stakes, alongside tying up where his companions disappeared off to.

Again, why discard one of the most talked-about components of Kylo Ren as a character, and figure in the First Order?
