Star Wars: 8 Ways The Rise Of Skywalker Sets Up Episode 10

5. Ben Solo: Force Ghost

While Ben Solo died shortly after reviving Rey, death is never the end for someone who is strong with the Force. Even in the last two episodic Star Wars movies alone, we've seen numerous deceased characters returning as Force ghosts (Yoda, Leia, Luke), meaning that Ben Solo may still have more to offer.

But of all the dead Force users, why Ben in particular? Well, if Episode X continues the story of the first nine episodes, it will have close ties to many of the characters we've already met, especially the Skywalkers, whom the entire Star Wars saga is built around. Plus, Ben and Rey form a Force dyad (meaning that they're connected via the Force), so if anyone is going to appear to Rey, odds are it will be him.

If Episode X involves Rey and the Jedi Order, then Ben could appear as a Force ghost to give her some advice or to guide her in some way. As The Rise of Skywalker showed, these two characters are intimately linked, and Ben's untimely death meant that a lot of things were left unsaid.

Or, if Episode X is Rey-less, then Ben could appear to the new protagonist as a cautionary tale about the temptations of the Dark Side. Either way, a cameo for the character would be awesome to see, and also wouldn't be terribly surprising.
