Star Wars: 9 Ideas For The New Trilogy & TV Show
2. The Force And The First Jedi
Rian Johnson is about to unleash The Last Jedi on the world, a film which may bring an end to the Jedi/Sith way and give balance to the Force. So for his next trick, perhaps he could flip it around and go right back to the First Jedi.
For all the importance of the Jedi and the Force through the movies, TV shows, and, well, literally everything Star Wars-related, the beginning is oddly unexplored (certainly in any still-canon form).
The Jedi Order dates back to around 25,000 Before the Battle of Yavin, and the Force was known and used for thousands of years before that. As Obi-Wan says, "the Force... surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds our galaxy together," and a film series that charts its origins could be fascinating. There are different cultures and religions beyond Jedi, but it could also be narrowed down to then focus on the Jedi Order in the end, crafting a different sort of hero's journey for the person who ultimately becomes The First Jedi.
