Star Wars: 9 Things All Original And Prequel Trilogy Fans Agree On
4. Star Wars Has The Best Bounty Hunters
Bounty Hunters in both Star Wars trilogies play a significant role. In the futuristic setting of Star Wars, bounty hunters are awesome. They personify the gritty conflict that exists in a divided galaxy. Whether it’s Greedo who gets totally blown away by Han in cold blood, the Bossk seen in Empire and The Clone Wars, or the assassin sent to kill Padme, bounty hunters give Star Wars despotic depth. They provide an old school, familiar western backdrop to the far off galaxy with which we can identify in our own time ago.
The prequel trilogy, as well as The Clone Wars, has some of the best bounty hunters found in the Star Wars universe. Older fans who take the time appreciate the variety of bounty hunters found beyond the original trilogy. It's as though certain concepts in Star Wars are more malleable than others, with OT purists being more accepting of things that don't have to do specifically with the Skywalker family and the Force. The main controversy surrounding bounty hunters relates to some original trilogy fans taking issue with how Boba Fett met his fate, but this took place in an original trilogy movie.
Fans on both sides have an awesome selection of bounty hunters to appreciate in the Star Wars universe. And let’s be honest, it’s not like Greedo set the bar high after he totally let Han get the draw on him before even pulling his trigger. What a loser.
