3. Rooney Mara
Let's get this out of the way: she's young and looks alien. Not to say Ms. Mara isn't lovely, but she definitely has facial features that would fit a science-fiction film. She's already been thrown some critical acclaim from her roles in David Fincher's films The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and The Social Network, and to see her get a little more free range with a fun role like that of a sprightly Jedi could bring back the charm that was so prevalent in the original trilogy and lost in the prequels. Honestly, if there were an actress that could pull of a live-action version of Ashoka, I would have given it to Mara. But seeing as how this trilogy will take place some time away from the events of the first trilogy, I think it's safe to say that character won't be making her rounds in the newest additions (unless there's some extended universe plot device I'm unaware of). Be that as it may, Rooney Mara certainly shouldn't go overlooked if the Star Wars crew is looking to take things in an entirely new direction.
