Star Wars Episode 7: 10 Dream Casting Choices

5. Anne Hathaway

What about if, imagining that Jennifer Lawrence got cast as the young, spunky Jedi-in-training, she had a female Qui Gon Jinn-esque character at her side? Anne Hathaway proved this summer in The Dark Knight Rises that she can play a potentially silly role with the dramatic import and sly humour necessary. Thus, she'd be a natural fit for a role of this type, and if we're going to be superficial about it - as the filmmakers themselves surely will be - she's also gorgeous to boot, which never hurts, and therefore could prove her a killer presence in Episode 7. Sure, this means she'd be likely to bite the bullet - or, ahem, saber - like just about every other mentor character, but if nothing else, the fact that she's an Oscar-nominee would make it clear she could imbue such a moment with the gravitas needed. Her and Jennifer Lawrence, two of the most talented actresses of their respective generations, would make for a fantastic combination, assuming they have the chemistry that we expect they do.
