Star Wars Episode 7: 10 Rumours That Have Us Anxious
3. The Resurrection of Darth Vader
The most baffling of them all is Disney executives wagging their heads in unison to the tune of The Imperial March and although not confirming, certainly not denying the return of Darth Vader in Episode VII. It would be one thing if Vader was just a small part of the new trilogy like in dream sequences with Luke or as some force ghost like Obi-Wan in The Empire Strikes Back, but no Daily Express confirmed the rumor by leaking a quote from some sort of "inside man" within the studio. "Replacing him is virtually impossible," says the mole and goes on to say that Lord Vader is coming back in a big way. Nevertheless as what? Vader becomes a good guy at the end of Return of the Jedi by once more reverting back to the light side of Anakin Skywalker. So will he now come back as an even more machine more evil villain? Seems pretty stupid doesn't it? Bring the blown up/burnt/wheezing super villain back to life? Of course they will, they're Disney and Star Wars just can't be the same (in box office success terms) without him.
