By selling Lucasfilm, George Lucas netted himself $2 billion in cash and $2.05 billion in shares in Disney. Whats he going to do with such a huge amount of money? Give it to charity. The bulk of the money from the Disney will be invested in his foundation for improving education. What a guy, ladies and gentlemen. Ill only ever see that kind of money if I steal a nuclear warhead hold the world to ransom. In one swift stroke, Lucas became richer than Alan Sugar and Richard Branson combined. And hes giving most of it away. If he was really the greedy money-hungry whore that the more extreme fanboys paint him as, he wouldnt be giving that money to charity. Lucas may have lost his filmmaking mojo as time went by but he never stopped being a fundamentally decent person. And this Disney deal shows that. And if thats not a reason to stop slagging him off, I dont know what is.
