Star Wars Episode 7: 5 Reasons To Stop Bashing George Lucas

4. It€™s His Universe

George€™s universe, George€™s rules. The decision he makes regarding canon or character interpretation are completely his own. If he wants to canonise the Geonosians designing the Death Star or stop there being any more Wookiee Jedi, that€™s his business because it€™s all his creation. And as mentioned above, if you don€™t like it you can ignore it. It€™s not like he€™s used all the money he€™s made from Star Wars to write €œGreedo Shot First€ onto the moon. Admittedly, I€™m being a bit of hypocrite since years ago I wrote an article for denofgeek.com that was a fanboy-ish rant about why the Special Editions were so terrible but I suppose that now I€™m an adult, I€™ve gained a better perspective on things. Basically, if he adds something you don€™t like or disagree with, tough luck because he created it and it€™s up to him.
