Star Wars Episode 7: 7 Directors That Would Rock

1. Peter Jackson

Peter Jackson certainly has the experience of handling huge franchises superbly. Before Lord of the Rings, fans feared that the classic series of novels would be butchered as there was just too much content to break up into a feature length movie. Jackson went on to create one of the best trilogies of all time winning dozens of academy awards and cementing his place among the great directors. Obviously, his other films have not been as popular, save for the decent King Kong remake but he has the most potential on this list to create a truly remarkable interpretation. And don't forget, this would not be his first foray into Sci-Fi. Jackson had signed on to co-direct Halo before it was cancelled. His partner? Neill Blomkamp, who directed the excellent District 9. With The Hobbit being his only stumbling block, if he could yet again collaborate with Neill Blomkamp on a franchise as large as Star Wars, fans could be in for something quite special indeed. There are seven directors we think would do Star Wars proud. Anyone you'd add? Do let us in on it...
