Star Wars Episode IX: 10 Directors Who Could Replace Colin Trevorrow
5. Edgar Wright
Why He Should Direct: Edgar Wright is one of the most stylish and talented filmmakers there is, and every single major film he's released has been a hit with critics.
He's also hot off his biggest box office success to date with Baby Driver, and it's safe to say that with him in the director's chair, Episode IX would probably end up the most exciting and weird Star Wars movie yet.
How Likely Is It?: Wright's departure from Ant-Man due to the lack of creative freedom means he may not be too keen to get back into a huge franchise with similar restrictions. Plus, he's got numerous potential projects in the works right now, which will keep him plenty busy.
Kennedy would probably love to have him given that he's young and creative but also thoroughly reliable, yet his style of working would probably clash violently with her demands. 3/10
