10. Inject The Script With A Little More Humour
Starting off with a very minor point and certainly one which you'd be forgiven for dismissing - as we all know, R2-D2 and his companion C-3PO frequently provide the comic relief throughout the original Star Wars trilogy. This is all well and good - and their bumbling relationship certainly raises a few laughs - but it would be nice to see a little more humour from the other characters as well. Sure, in the first installment Han Solo's dry and sardonic wit was entertaining, but by Return Of The Jedi it felt as if his wings had been clipped and the quips became less frequent. Given that Solo is going to be in Episode VII there's no reason that his dialogue can't match Solo at his best in the original trilogy - or better still, perhaps playfully subverting the lovable rogue image into something more befitting his old age.
