Star Wars Episode VII: 7 Things We Learned In 2013
4. John Williams Will Return To Score Episode VII
In July, audiences rejoiced when it was announced that the father of the Star Wars score would be returning for a seventh time to write the music that is so much a part of the Star Wars Universe. At Celebration Europe, LucasFilm President Kathleen Kennedy made the announcement that John Williams would be back. It has to be assumed that at some point Williams will be passing the torch off to another composer, but this announcement came as great news to fans all over the globe. Williams is as much a part of Star Wars as many of the classic characters, of course, and his legacy is a huge part of what makes the Star Wars films as wonderful and as memorable as they are. With other episodic and spin-off movies planned down the line, it will be interesting to see who steps in to fill this guy's massive shoes. As long as Williams is ready and willing to score, however, we're not all that interested right now.
