3. It's A Passing Of The Torch Tale

Details have been extremely sparse in regards to any plot or characters which will featured in Episode VII and the resulting trilogy. Original cast members have been rumored since news of the film broke with Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill all being speculated to reprise their roles of Leia, Han and Luke. George Lucas himself even let slip that the original actors were in final negotiations to appear in the new film prior to the buyout, but nothing has been made official at this point. It is has been confirmed that the story will be passed on to a younger group of characters for obvious reasons. When viewed in sequence, the original trilogy is a tale of Luke taking up the torch from those from the prequel trilogy. So will be the case with the sequel trilogy. Whether these characters will be the children of the Skywalker and Solo family lineage is also still up in the air. If the film is to be about a passing of the torch to a new generation, it has to be believed that this event will be witnessed on film with the original characters.
