3. Luke & Rey Arrive At The Resistance Base To Find It Under Attack; Kylo Ren Confronts Leia

Luke and Rey arrive at the Resistance Base to find it's under attack. First Order troops are everywhere, and the Resistance is struggling to fight back. "We have to find Leia," Luke tells Rey as they land the X-Wing. He uses the Force to take out a few Stormtroopers, cuts down a few others with his iconic green lightsaber, and beckons Rey to follow him. On the other side of the base, Poe, Finn, Chewbacca, Lando and Lando's daughter are caught up in the ensuing battle. They're suddenly ambushed by a few members of the Knights of Ren, but successfully manage to work together to defeat them. Finn spots Rey across the battlefield and tries to go to her, but is attacked by Captain Phasma. The two face off against one another, but Finn manages to trick her into blowing herself up. Meanwhile, Kylo Ren breaks into the Resistance Base, cuts an unsuspecting C-3PO in half, and confronts his mother. Leia breaks down in tears, wondering out loud how she ever managed to produce a son that could kill his own father. "He was weak," Kylo tells her. "Just like you are, Mother." Leia slaps Ren, and - just as he's about to kill her - he senses something and stops. "Luke Skywalker," he says. "He's here. He came for you." "Luke?" Leia sobs, as Ren orders a couple of Stormtroopers to keep her guarded. He goes to confront his former master, uniting with Supreme Leader Snoke on route.
