Star Wars: Every Major Jedi Ranked Worst To Best

When you think of the highly influential Jedi Knight Mace Windu, the first image you conjure up will probably be his iconic purple lightsaber. This brightly coloured blade was a massive change for the franchise, as it pierced through the screen and caught everyone's attention. But, Windu is far more than just the wielder of this great weapon.

Mace Windu gives you a lot of bang for your buck as a character. He captures the duality of the Jedi Order itself, as he's wise, thoughtful and powerful, but also stuck in his ways and suspicious by nature. This made his time in the prequel trilogy utterly enthralling, as you could tell his mind was constantly going at 12 parsecs an hour.

The character was easily charming thanks to his stern delivery and powerful seat on the council, but he also acted as a barrier to our protagonists. It was easy to see how his domineering hold over Obi-Wan and Anakin was detrimental, but you could also tell that he was doing what he thought was right.

Overall, this turned him into a conflicted and dynamic character who wanted to fix the Jedi but may have unintentionally led to their destruction.
