Star Wars: Every Upcoming Project Ranked By Anticipation

Of the three Mandalorian spinoffs currently in development, Rangers of the New Republic is the one we know the least about so far.

Past the title's obvious implications, specifics regarding the show's story and lead characters have not yet been released. What we do know, however, is that it will be helmed by The Mandalorian's Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, which certainly bodes will.

Lucasfilm has also confirmed that Rangers of the New Republic will cross over with the announced Ahsoka Tano series, as well as The Mandalorian itself, culminating in a "climactic story event" -- which is rather vague, but also very enticing.

In general, it should also be interesting to widen the scope as the Star Wars franchise continues to offer a canonical take on the immediate aftermath Galactic Civil War. Now that The Mandalorian has opened the door, there is loads of potential for new stories set in this peculiar era.
