Star Wars: Every Upcoming Project Ranked By Anticipation

11. Taika Waititi's Untitled Film

Taika Waititi and Star Wars really are a match made in heaven. He already directed The Mandalorian's Season 1 finale, which was arguably the best episode of the show's entire debut season, so it's not exactly hard to see why Lucasfilm decided to give him a full-blown feature film.

The director's sci-fi chops extend to big screen blockbusters as well, with Waititi having helmed the 2017 Marvel Studios film Thor: Ragnarok -- easily the best film in the Thor series thus far and one of the best Marvel Cinematic Universe films overall. In short, it's safe to say Star Wars' cinematic future is in good hands.

That said, it's hard to get too excited just yet, seeing as how Waititi's Star Wars movie still lacks a title and a release window, with Lucasfilm simply describing it as "fresh, unexpected, and… unique." Nevertheless, it's a project fans will likely be following with great interest as more details become available.
