While some were initially taken aback by the decision to give Cassian Andor his own show, a quick re-watch of Rogue One makes it clear the character and the world he inhabits are full of potential.

Part of what made the 2016 film so unique was that it wasn't afraid to peel back the layers of the Galactic Civil War and showcase a seedier side to the Rebellion -- a side consisting of individuals who were forced to make incredibly difficult decisions in the name of the greater good.

Diego Luna's Cassian Andor was something of a poster child for this. The character was embroiled in the fight against the Empire for most of his life and was clearly carrying a lot of baggage with him even before Jyn Erso and company came into his life. Combine that with Luna's acting chops and world of possibilities a spy thriller set in the Star Wars universe already brings, and you have a series definitely worth keeping an eye out for.
