3. A Droid Story
Most of the newly announced Star Wars projects for Disney+ will be television series. A Droid Story seems to be the exception, as it will be a television film hitting the streaming service sometime soon.
The movie will be brought to life by both Lucasfilm animation and VFX company Industrial Light and Magic, or ILM. The story will follow the greatest droid duo in Star Wars history, C-3PO and R2-D2, as they guide a new hero on a secret mission known only to them.
Though no voice actors have been confirmed for the project, given C-3PO's involvement, Anthony Daniels, who portrayed the character in all nine Skywalker Saga films, Rogue One, Clone Wars, Rebels, and numerous video games, will almost certainly reprise his iconic protocol droid role.
While not much else is known about the upcoming movie, it promises to be a fun, childlike adventure through the galaxy with C-3PO and R2-D2.
