Star Wars: Han Solo - 9 Big Implications Of Lord & Miller's Firing

1. Is Episode VIII Really That Different?

Another of the worries stems from a few of those points made already: Lucasfilm clearly run a very tight ship, and want things to be a certain way - and if it's not, you're out - so where does that leave The Last Jedi?

Arguably the most exciting aspect of the movie is the fact Rian Johnson is in control, serving as both writer and director. That's a different situation to the likes of Han Solo and Rogue One, as Johnson is directing fro his own script, and thus ostensibly the person he has to agree with most is himself.

But then... we've heard a lot about how the movie is different, how Johnson is doing things we haven't seen before, how he's unleashed his own unique vision. How does that fit with all the other stories from Star Wars movies and what's happened to their directors? Is Johnson a special case, or will Episode VIII not be as different as has been made out?

What are your thoughts on the departure of Lord & Miller? Let us know down in the comments.
